How it works

Three simple steps.

1

Open the link

Set it up yourself in a couple of minutes, or have a family member do it. Nothing to install, no account to figure out.

2

You talk for about 20 minutes

You talk with one of our biographers. It’s a digital interviewer that listens closely and lets you choose what to talk about. Skip anything, any time.

3

Your family keeps it forever

In a few days your family receives a produced chapter in your voice. It stays private unless you choose to share it.

Your stories matter

The ones only you can tell.

Where you grew up. The people you served with. Coming home. The life you built after. Your grandchildren should hear it in your voice — not read about it secondhand.

Questions

Good to know.

Is it private?

Yes. Your memoir lives on a private family listening page, shared only with the people you choose. It’s never made public without your say-so.

Do I have to talk about combat?

No. You choose every topic, and you can skip anything.

What about classified or sensitive information?

Please don’t share anything classified or operationally sensitive — this is your personal life story, not a debrief. You choose every word, and you’re responsible for what you share; Memoir isn’t responsible for sensitive or classified details you choose to disclose. If something feels too sensitive, skip it — you can always move to another topic.

What do I need?

A phone and a quiet room. A family member can help you get started — after that, you just talk.

Who is the biographer?

A warm, patient digital interviewer who asks good questions and follows your lead. It’s not a person on the line, and we don’t hide that — but it listens closely, never rushes, and lets you steer the conversation.
